Express Pain Treatment
We offer fast pain treatment called A-IMS developed by Anna D. Lee MD. This method is (1) for patients who want a much quicker resolution of pain than that by acupuncture, or (2) for patients whose symptom cannot be resolved by the traditional acupuncture. A-IMS originates from a combination of Oriental medicine and Western medicine. Instead of an acupuncture needle (of diameter on the order of 0.2 mm), a large diameter EMG needle (of 0.4 mm diameter) is used with continuous stimulation to eliminate muscle spasms quickly. In A-IMS, a pre-medication is injected intramuscularly to the patients to receive the treatment comfortably. A physician injects the pre-mediation, and the treatment is done jointly by an acupuncturist and an MD. the device used in the A-IMS procedure was invented by Young Lee (with 5 US patents) and the procedure was approved by the FDA.
